Yuta Watanabe is the representative of Manabi Mate LLC. After graduating from Yamagata Minami High School, he spent a year preparing for university entrance exams and entered the University of Tokyo. That year awakened his enjoyment of learning. In the summer of his fourth year at university, he was selected to study abroad in a psychology laboratory at UC Berkeley.

After graduation, he joined an energy company, working in graduate recruitment (including international hires), mid-career recruitment and employee training. He later negotiated LNG transactions worth tens of billions of yen annually with international oil majors and overseas state-owned companies.

After moving into education, he taught English to more than 1,000 students at highly selective combined junior and senior high schools in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including students aiming for the University of Tokyo and medical schools. He also launched 死ぬほどわかる英文法ブログ (Shinu hodo Wakaru Eibunpō Blog), reaching a peak of 220,000 page views per month. He offers more than 80 Udemy courses, with over 170,000 total enrollments.

He became independent in March 2024. English-learning content provision for major companies. His book 英文法は語源から学べ！ (SB Creative) was published in March 2025 and approved for reprint less than two weeks after release. He holds Eiken Grade 1 and a perfect TOEIC score.
