We run Shinu hodo Wakaru Eibunpō, an English-grammar media site with up to 220,000 monthly page views. Its insights culminated in the founder’s book Learn English Grammar from Word Origins! (SB Creative), reprinted within two weeks of release.

Founder of Manabi Mate LLC, running an online-first education business. Udemy courses have passed 150,000 total enrollments, and the owned media site Shinu hodo Wakaru Eibunpō (“English Grammar, Explained to Death”) has reached up to 220,000 page views per month. The book Learn English Grammar from Word Origins! (SB Creative, March 2025) went into reprint less than two weeks after release. Also active as a cram-school instructor, mainly for students aiming at Japan’s most selective universities. Eiken Grade 1, a perfect TOEIC score, and a graduate of the University of Tokyo.
After university, worked in the corporate world handling deals worth tens of billions of yen with overseas companies, then moved into the cram-school industry. Teaching online began from a desire to share that knowledge and experience with a wider audience. Recent work includes writing books for commercial publishers, along with AI-powered English learning tools and software development.
