Privacy Policy for Fishing Catch Log
Effective date: April 17, 2026
Fishing Catch Log is a paid utility app that lets you record your own fishing catches: species, size, location notes, weather, time, and an optional photo. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles data.
1. Data We Collect
The developer does not collect any data from your use of Fishing Catch Log. The app has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking SDKs. No usage data is sent to developer servers.
2. Where Your Data Is Stored
All catch records, photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device via SwiftData. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, the same records are synced only to your own private iCloud database (CloudKit). The developer has no access to your iCloud data.
3. Photos
Access to the photo library is requested only when you choose to attach a photo to a catch. Selected photos are imported, resized, and stored locally on your device (and in your own iCloud if enabled). Location metadata (EXIF GPS) is not retained.
4. Third Parties
The app does not share data with any third party. It does not integrate with advertising networks, analytics providers, or external services besides iCloud under your own Apple ID.
5. Children
Fishing Catch Log is a general-audience utility. It does not include advertising or social features, and it does not knowingly collect any data from children.
6. Changes
If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL.
